Most kids rake leaves into piles to smash through. Kristin raked leaves into full scale floor plans. Most kids attend their high school graduation. Kristin spent her senior year in Brazil, picked up a second language and started on a path that would eventually lead to living in Portugal, teaching english in the Czech Republic and studying in Italy. But, New York City is where she started her professional architectural career. Her predisposition to optimize space paid dividends in the city. She worked in firms doing institutional and residential projects. She also mixed in her own work, renovating lofts and apartments. Now she lives in Boulder CO, with her husband and two kids. She works on residential projects, including a full renovation of her own home, doing much of the construction herself. [RESUME]

Kerry’s past includes a degree in architecture from Penn State; a two year stint at Auburn University’s famed Rural Studio (enough time to fall in love with the deep south); and several years teaching industrial design to fabulous students at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She owns a modern quilt studio, Comma Workshop, based in Boulder. More importantly though, she’s sheared sheep, opened a yoga studio in rural Alabama, and dragged an 80-foot yellow arrow across the country.
